We have just spent a relaxing family holiday staying at Palm Villa II in Cala Llonga and cannot recommend it enough. The property is set in a great location with stunning views across Mahon harbour. It was nice to find a property with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms which is tricky to find in Spain. My husband and I spent the days by the lovely big swimming pool relaxing and enjoying the Spanish sunshine and our family spent their time exploring the Island. We can thoroughly recommend a trip to Mahon fish market, a glass-bottomed boat trip across the harbour and day-trip out in Ciutadella which is a very pretty harbour resort at the far end of the Island. We hired a car for the week (and can recommend Sol Car Hire from Menorca Airport who provide an excellent service). Driving in Menorca is very easy indeed, the roads are great and road signs are easy to follow plus there is very little traffic around which makes the driving experience nice and relaxed. The property itself is very spacious and there are lots of terraces for relaxation and taking in the views of the harbour and boats which sail by. A wonderfully relaxing week. We cannot recommend this property and Menora enough - Can't wait to go back!
Everything spot on. Very clean very comfortable every need to hand. Swimming pool excellent. Location excellent close to Mahon and good beaches. Supermarket nearby. View exceptional.
We spent one week at this gorgeous villa in August 2019. It really is set in the most stunning position in Cala Llonga overlooking the harbour of Mahon. The villa itself is clean, spacious and has everything that you need for a comfortable week. The two en-suite master bedrooms are ideal for two couple travelling together. The pool is a really good size although it is very deep so maybe not ideal for little children. The urbanisation of Cala Llonga is very quiet with only one small supermarket (very pricey), so this is the ideal place to stay if you truly want a relaxing break away from everything. I absolutely loved staying here and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
A superb house in a superb location. Sparklingly clean, fully equipped and ideally located. We've been on 6 villa holidays in Menorca and this was easily the best place we've stayed. The neighbourhood is quiet and you aren't overlooked, so it has all the benefits of the villas we've often rented in the national park. The pool was lovely - a good size, very clean, proper tiled lining. The view is superb - you can sit and watch the boats of all sizes coming and going all day. You're on the front line. Just below the house and across the road is a small shingle beach (sandy once you're a few metres out), where you can swim or bring a small boat in as I did one day. Huge windows make the best of the view, and I loved how many places there were to sit. On the day my wife had a migraine she could lie in an air conditioned bedroom, look out the window at the ever-changing view and feel it wasn't a day wasted. High quality finishes and equipment abound, as do thoughtful touches such as a pair of binoculars, a UK plug with USB sockets wired in, parasols and inflatables, some dishwasher tablets, etc, etc. - all those little things that you're always pleased to find in a villa - they were all here. I cannot recommend this place or the owners highly enough. Now the kids are a bit older, we spent less time on the beaches - shorter stints, kayaking, snorkelling and swimming. We visited the central mountain El Toro - well worth a look. Also the fort of Isabella just down the road - really interesting - hire a buggy or electric bikes. We explored the cities of Mahon and Cuitadella, and a Talaiot site. It's the perfect holiday island.
Glad you had a great stay Steve. Yes Menorca is a lovely island ! Hope to see you again one day.
