This is a very quiet area with beautiful scenery in a yet- to - be developed area of Galicia. The villa was amazing, beautifully designed with lots of space for our party of 6. We enjoyed the outdoor area just as much as the indoors, fantastic views, lovely pool and a very comfortable eating area. The games room added to this being a great place for the whole family to relax in. The scenic surroundings were very beautiful and very unspoilt, our favorite being the day trip to Ilias de Cíes. Eating out wasn’t easy though, with a limited number of local restaurants and menus were limited, especially if you are vegetarian! Except for a very large supermarket chain nearby in Noia (which did have everything we needed) shops were very limited so we missed the experience of eating local produce ( butcher/ bakery/ cafes etc). Very easy access to Santiago airport.
Hi Hilda and family, We're glad you enjoyed your stay. Serra de Outes (5 minutes from the house and on the way to Noia) has plenty more shops, local produce and a Saturday market. And the Thursday and Sunday market in Noia (10minute drive) is a great visit and opportunity to buy everything locally produced from cheeses, fruit and veg and fish to wines and liquors. We also have lots of recommendations for restaurants in our guide. We hope you'll think of us again. best regards R&M

We chose Casa Roo as an escape from the madness of our normal lives, teenagers, exams, work and all the usual modern day life craziness. As soon as we got here we knew we could just switch off and stop. (after the hill climb with the car!) - It's a beautiful old stone house, on its own at the top of a hill that looks over the old village. It's beautifully renovated and the garden is like walking through some magical wardrobe into paradise, amazing scenery, lots of nature, great forest walks and streams. We loved it and even the teenagers chilled! nice towns nearby, incredible beaches and plenty going on in Santiago - a gorgeous old Spanish town. Highly recommended!
